HALL OF HONOR
A highly decorated track and field athlete for the Raiders, Tyrone Russell was a four-time Patriot League Outdoor Champion, taking first place in both the 200 and 400 meters in 2001 and earning gold in the 4x100 meter relay and 200 meters in 2003. He was a four-time First Team Outdoor All-Patriot League selection and was named Patriot League Top Outdoor Track Athlete of the Meet in 2003. Russell earned the team’s Outdoor Outstanding Freshman Performer Award in 2000 and was also a four-time recipient of the program’s Outdoor Excellence for Achieving Award. Additionally, he was a two-time recipient of the Walter and Dorothy Fullam Award for significant team contribution. Russell’s performances garnered him a spot on the Patriot League 25th All-Anniversary Team. During his indoor track career, Russell claimed two-straight Patriot League Championships, earning gold in both the 200 and 400 meters in 2003, after winning the 4x400 meter relay title in 2002. Both of those years he was named Patriot League Top Indoor Track Athlete of the Meet. Russell was a three-time First Team Indoor All-Patriot League selection and currently holds Colgate's indoor record in the 200 meters.
