HALL OF HONOR
Steve Calabria was a four-year letterwinner in football at Colgate. As a quarterback, he started 43 straight games and owned a record of 28-15. He twice received Associated Press Division I-AA All-America honorable mention honors and earned ECAC Division I-AA All-Star accolades three times in his career. He became the first freshman since 1951 to start as the Red Raiders’ signal caller. In his first season, he ranked as the second most efficient freshman quarterback in the nation with a rating of 115.4. As a sophomore, he threw for 2,282 yards and 13 touchdowns and had two 300-plus yardage games on his way to setting seven Colgate records. In his junior season, he became Colgate’s all-time leader in career passing yardage, pass completions, pass attempts, total offense and touchdown passes as he threw for 2,233 yards and 17 touchdowns. He concluded his career with a 2,420-yard season that included 13 touchdowns and three games with over 300 yards passing. He amassed a total of 8,555 yards through the air in his four seasons, the fourth best in NCAA Division I-AA history. Throughout his career he held 43 school records and led Colgate to two straight NCAA Division I-AA playoff appearances in 1982 and 1983.
