Chris Renaud was part of coach Terry Slater’s first recruiting class that posted 73 wins over four years, including the first 20-win campaign and first NCAA tournament berth in Colgate history. Four years later (1982), he was a first team American Hockey Coaches Association AllAmerica defenseman and first team ECAC Division I all-star. He held the school-record for the most goals in a season by a defenseman (12) and most goals in a career by a defenseman (32). Renaud finished as the 10th leading scorer in Colgate history with 32 goals and 84 assists for 116 points. Following his collegiate career, he played professional hockey in the New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres organizations.
