Melissa Mack was one of the most decorated softball players in school history as a standout catcher for the Raiders between 1995 and 1998. In her rookie season, she became Colgate’s first-ever Mid-Atlantic Regional All-American, while leading the team in runs batted in, and finishing second in batting average (.339), hits, doubles and total bases. During her junior season, Mack was named first team all-Patriot League while pacing the league in hits (56) and runs batted in (31). She also ranked ninth in the nation in triples with five. Her senior season saw Mack named Patriot League Player of the Year and first team all-league. She batted .324 with a team-high 23 runs batted in, while scoring 26 runs, and cracking eight doubles, two triples and two home runs. Mack finished her career as the leader in at bats (493), hits (159), runs batted in (76) and home runs (6). She also ranked in the Top 10 in runs scored, batting average (.322), doubles and triples.
