During his four-year career, he led Colgate to three Eastern College Athletic Conference playoff appearances, while establishing career marks for most shutouts (6), most victories (49) and most games played in goal (99). He also set the season standard for most shutouts (3), most victories (18), longest shutout sequence (136:40), most minutes played (1873:49) and most games played in (32). In his junior year, he led Colgate to the only second 20-win season in the school’s history. As a senior, Cooper was named a first team ECAC All-Star and was voted Colgate’s best defensive player for the third straight season. He was also the winner of Colgate’s Rob Ries Memorial Award, given annually to the player who provides the most inspiration and leadership.
