HALL OF HONOR
Richard Lacey was a four-year track letterman who was a consistent performer in the sprints and hurdles. He held the Colgate record in the 100-yard dash and was a member of the record-setting mile relay team. After his collegiate career which saw him serve as captain of Colgate’s 1931 and 1932 teams, Lacey became a highly successful scholastic coach. In 25 years as coach at Pelham High School, his teams recorded 106 victories in 125 meets, including 12 undefeated seasons. He has held World Masters records in the 200 meters, 400 meters, 110 meter high hurdles, 400-meter low hurdles and high jump.
