HALL OF HONOR
Don Allen is one of Colgate’s greatest golfers who had a collegiate record of 57 wins and four losses. He also enjoyed an outstanding amateur career which saw him win the New York State Amateur championship six times. On the national links, he qualified for the U.S. Amateur 18 times, finishing third in 1965 and sixth in 1966; qualified for the U.S. Open four times; and was invited to the Masters four times, finishing second low amateur twice. He has also represented the United States in International competition four times: U.S. Walker Cup Team (1965, 1967), U.S. vs. Great BritainIreland, U.S. America’s Cup Team (1965, 1967), and U.S. vs. Canada and Mexico.
