Larry Bossidy was a standout pitcher for the Colgate baseball team ... He lettered three years in 1955, 56 and 57 Bossidy played on the 1955 team that advanced to the College World Series in Omaha where they lost to Wake Forest (1-0), before beating Southern Cal (6-4) and losing to Oklahoma A&M (4-2). He was called the best Colgate pitcher in the last two decades. He had a 2.90 ERA (6th best in nation), 14-11 won-lost record, 17 complete games. 229.7 innings pitched, 150 strikeouts, 74 K’s in 1955 and a 6-3 record in 1956.
