As one of the top lacrosse players in Patriot League history, Peter Baum became Colgate’s first Tewaaraton Award winner in 2012, the national award presented annually to the best player in college lacrosse. He garnered All-America First Team and Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year honors after leading the Raiders to a league championship in 2012. A three-time All-America selection and four-year All-Patriot League First Team honoree, Baum graduated as Colgate’s all-time leader in career goals and points and held single-season records in both categories. His 164 career goals rank No. 1 in the Patriot League. A two-time Academic All-League selection, Baum earned USILA Scholar All-America honors before being drafted first overall in the Major League Lacrosse draft in 2013 by the Ohio Machine.
