HALL OF HONOR
Richard McGlynn had an outstanding collegiate hockey career. After his Colgate career he established himself in the ranks of amateur and professional hockey. He played on the 1971 and 1972 United States National teams which competed in world tournaments in Switzerland and Rumania. McGlynn was a member of the United States Olympic team that captured the Silver Medal in Sapporo, Japan in 1972, and was the first Colgate graduate to participate in a Winter Olympic Medal-winning effort. Later, he played one year for the Chicago Cougars of the World Hockey Association and was the 1972 recipient of Colgate’s Silver Puck award.
