HALL OF HONOR
Guy Martin was one of the nation's top passing leaders in 1956, finishing third in the country behind John Brody and Tom Flores, and received honorable mention Associated Press All-America and UPI allEast honors. During his collegiate career, he established single-season and career records in passes completed, total yardage and a career record for extra points. Martin had three varsity letters in football, as well as four in baseball and one in basketball. He was captain of his senior baseball team and was proud of the fact that he was elected captain of his freshman basketball squad. As a senior, he won Colgate’s President’s Cup, awarded annually to a member of the senior class for character, scholarship and sportsmanship.
