Steve Kuk was a well-rounded athlete, playing three years of varsity football, basketball and baseball. He captained the 1935 baseball team. Kuk had several post-graduate stints with professional baseball teams - the New York Giants organization upon graduation, followed by the Newark Bears of the International League and the post-war Utica Blue Sox.
