 Dave Goodwin finished his brilliant career as the 1990 ECAC Division I-AA Player of the Year and third team Associated Press Division I-AA All-America. During his collegiate career, he broke or tied 36 school records in total offense and passing. In his senior year he finished second in the nation in total offense with 298.09 yards per game and broke his own school record for passing yardage in a season with 3,352 yards. Goodwin concluded his career as Colgate’s second all-time leading passer with 7,199 yards and 39 touchdown passes. The two-time winner of the Andy Kerr Trophy, given to the offensive MVP, also became the first player in the school’s history to throw for 400 yards in three games during a career. Goodwin also lettered in basketball as a sophomore and junior and was the team’s third leading scorer with 10.8 points per game as a junior.
