HALL OF HONOR
Bobby Newman was a four-year letterwinner in soccer. In 1994, he became the first Colgate soccer player to be named All-American in 19 years, when the National Soccer Coaches Association picked him third team All-American. A member of the Patriot League All-Decade Team, Newman was a three-time all-Patriot League player and the league’s Offensive Player of the Year in 1994. The National Soccer Coaches of America twice recognized him on the all-New York Region team, earning first team honors in 1994 and second team in 1995. He was Colgate’s Most Valuable Player in 1994 and 1995. Newman finished his career as the all-time leader in points with 85 and goals with 37, and held the single season marks for points with 45 and goals with 19. In 2015, Newman was named to the Patriot League 25th all-anniversary team in soccer.
