Colgate University Athletics

Ted Caranagelo was an outstanding rightfielder, who led Colgate to its only appearance in the NCAA World Series in Omaha in 1955. He was a first team NCAA All-America selection while batting .451 for the Red Raiders, who defeated Southern California during the playoffs. Following graduation, he played one year in the Detroit Tigers farm system.
