Dave Martin earned All-America swimming honors in 1964 for his performance with Colgate’s 400-yard freestyle relay team in the NCAA championships. He also was the Upper New York State champion and record holder for the 200-yard freestyle in 1965 and 500-yard freestyle in 1966. He served as captain of the swim team in 1964.
