Track and Field Competes at Southern Tier Invite

Blair Brings Home Gold in Long Jump

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Raiders competed at the Southern Tier Invite on Saturday at Cornell University.

WOMEN

Mia Jilani placed second in the 600m run finishing with a time of 1:43.06.

Ashley Crane secured a third place finish in the mile run crossing the finish line at 5:11.47. Nell Droege finished seventh in the mile run.

The Raiders took home silver in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:06.23. Clare Gillis, Sara Tabibian, June Nathan, and Kiran George combined for the top two finish.

Melinda Haagensen posted a third place finish in the pole vault with a vault of 3.63m.

MEN

Cole Blair dominated the long jump with a massive 7.20m leap bringing home the gold. Blair also posted a fourth place finish in the triple jump.

Dakin Ebmeyer took home silver in the 3000m run with a time of 8:38.42. Fellow Raider Owen Holland finished right behind Ebmeyer in third while Owen McMorrow, Tyler Ferlise, and Nick Larson rounded out the top seven.

Colgate grabbed second place in the 4x400 relay. Benjamin Horner, Jack Gabrielle, Tyler Robinson, and Dakin Ebmeyer combined for a time of 3:31.83.

Simon Connors finished third in the 60m dash with a blazing 6.96s split.

Ben Horner placed third in the 600m run with a time of 1:23.05.

Tyler Robinson secured a third place spot in the 800m run finishing with a time of 1:58.38.

Will Keiser posted a top five finish in the mile run crossing the finish line at 4:19.51.

UP NEXT
Colgate heads back to Ithaca next weekend where they will compete in the Upstate Challenge. The Raiders will also compete at The Track at New Balance Collegiate Showdown in Boston, Mass. Both meets will take place next Saturday.
