Rory Connor recorded eight, and
Liam Connor posted seven to help Colgate defeat UAlbany 19-14 Friday afternoon.

"Great team effort all around today. Right out of the gate, our guys brought the energy, speed, and intensity required to dominate a game like this against a very good UAlbany team.
Our guys fought for every ground ball, were physical in every phase of the game, and did not let distractions or mistakes take us from playing in the moment.
What I am most proud of today is the dedication and commitment from our scout team guys. For months, they have put in the work behind the scenes, pushing each other, sacrificing their bodies, and raising the standard of play. Ask any one of our players, and they will tell you how important they are to game day, and them. We are really starting to come together as a team, and it showed today.
Back at it on Tuesday against Harvard, so we will enjoy this one, but get back to work right away."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Turner got off to a hot start, notching a hat trick 4:52 into the first quarter and giving the Raiders a 3-0 advantage.
- Ryan Favaro made it 4-0 at the 7:37 mark, and Drouin fired one in less than a minute later, putting the score at 5-0. Liam Connor topped off the first-quarter run with 1:49 remaining.
- In the second, Turner and Rory Connor each scored following a Great Dane goal, expanding the Raiders' lead back to six at 8-2.
- Matt LaCombe held the Great Danes scoreless in the first, only having to stop one shot.
- Rory Connor began the third with back-to-back tallies, making it 12-3 at the 12:29 mark.
- First-year Casey Quinson scored his first career goal with 7:58 left in the third, and Turner followed with two goals between a UAlbany tally, pushing Colgate's lead to double digits at 15-5.
- Rory Connor notched one more at the end of the third and opened the scoring in the fourth just 26 seconds in, putting the scoreboard at 17-5.
- A long pole goal from Sam Erickson was followed by Liam Connor's second of the contest, giving Colgate a 19-6 lead with 10:31 left in the fourth.
- The Great Danes ended the game with eight straight.
GAME NOTES
- Turner posted career bests in goals (6), assists (4) and points (10) in the Raiders' win at UAlbany. He became the first Raider to log 10 points in a game since Peter Baum in a 24-14 win at Robert Morris on March 3, 2012.
- Rory Connor tied his career high in goals (7) and points (8). It marked the sixth game of his career with four or more goals.
- Liam Connor dished out a career-best five helpers to log a career-high seven points.
- Max Yates led the Raiders in ground balls, scooping up nine to tie his career-high.
- LaCombe finished with five saves, allowing just six goals in 48 minutes. Andrew Lehrman and Larkin Divine also saw time between the pipes, relieving LaCombe.
- Michael Kiely recorded two caused turnovers, while John Carrabine caused one turnover and picked up five ground balls.
- Kyle Rummel went 15-of-21 (71%) from the faceoff 'x' and Johnny Hartzell went five-of-seven, helping the Raiders go 56% as a team (20-of-36). Rummel's 15 wins tied his career-high.
