Colgate Competes at Penn State National Open

Ethan Eisner continues impressive indoor season

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Raiders track and field teams competed at the Penn State National Open this weekend.

COACH FRANCE'S COMMENTS

"Really pleased with the performances this weekend on a very big stage. There were several personal records that are in contention for school records in the coming weeks and another record by Ethan Eisner. This time of year it's a grind and I know this squad is looking forward to a much needed training week while we prepare for some big performances in Boston in two weeks. We're focusing on peaking at the right time, and I'm proud of the patience and focus this squad has had as we prepare for the championship season."

WOMEN

Kiran George posted a ninth place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.60m.

Nell Droege continued her first year campaign with a 16th place finish in the 3000m.

Clare Gillis finished 22nd in the 200m dash.

MEN

Ethan Eisner placed third in the 200m dash with a time of 21.71. Eisner continued to post impressive numbers this indoor season with his second straight top five finish in the 200m dash. Eisner also logged a fifth place finish in the 400m dash with a time of 48.13.

Owen Holland secured an eighth place finish in the 3000m run, crossing the finish line at 8:28.43.

Samuel Epstein posted a fourth place finish in the pole vault with a leap of 4.60m.

Cole Blair logged a sixth place finish in the long jump, Blair posted a 6.98m leap.

UP NEXT
Colgate will split between the Penn State Sykes & Sabock Challenge and the Utica Blue & Orange Invitational next Saturday. Both meets will take place all day.
