Biography

Senior Year (2012-13): Played in 32 total games...second overall on the team in points...finished her senior season with 22 points coming from seven goals and 17 assists...tied for third on the team in total goals...led the team in assists...recorded two power play goals against RPI and No. 2 ranked Cornell...also posted a season-high three points off one goal and two assists in that game against Cornell...recorded five multi-point games this season...posted a season-high seven shots against Cornell on Mar. 2nd in the ECAC Tournament...finished with 85 shots and a 2.42 shots per game average...made a season-high four blocked shots verse St. Lawrence on Jan. 19...ended career ranked 10th in program history with 82 career points...also finished eighth with 54 career assists, and tied for 12th in season assists... named to the Raider Academic Honor Roll.

Junior Year (2011-12): Played in 22 of the team's 33 games…finished the season fourth on the team with 18 points of four goals and 14 assists…had one power play goal in the season against Robert Morris on Nov. 22...had four multi-point games...recorded four assists in the team's 5-1 win over Vermont on Nov. 26... had two three-point games with a goal and two assists against Syracuse on Jan. 2 and tallying three helpers against Princeton on Jan. 13...registered two goals against Dartmouth on Jan. 20...also tallied assists against Quinnipiac on Jan. 14, Union on Feb. 3, Rensselaer on Feb. 4, Yale on Feb. 10 and Brown on Feb. 11…finished the season with 53 shots and an average of 2.41 shots per game...earned the Don Palmateer Award.

Sophomore Year (2010-11): Played in all 33 games and started in 18...completed the season second on the team with 27 points from 13 goals and 14 assists...had two goals against Quinnipiac on Oct. 30...recorded a four-point game with one goal and three assists against Clarkson and Dec. 3...tallied a goal and an assist against Rensselaer on Jan. 28...scored two goals and had one assist for three points against Syracuse on Jan. 4...recorded a goal and an assist against Rensselaer on Jan. 15...had a pair of assists against St. Lawrence on Feb. 4...had six power play goals, one short-handed goal and three game-winners.

Freshman Year (2009-10): Saw action in all 36 games … collected 13 points off of four goals and nine assists … recorded 74 shots … recorded 22 penalty minutes … made six blocks … scored first collegiate point with an assist against Wayne State on Oct. 23 … had two points, both assists, against Syracuse on Nov. 24 … scored first collegiate goal at Niagara on Jan. 8 … had three power-play goals.

Before Colgate: Klynstra was a teammate of Jessica Hootz on the Edmonton Thunder this past year. . .earned team MVP honors as a forward. . .helped guide the Thunder to first-place in the Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League and second-place in the Macs Midget Hockey Championships. . .was named the Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League MVP and the Macs Midget Hockey Finals MVP. . .also skated for the U-18 Team Alberta for two seasons, serving as assistant captain in 2009.
