LEWISBURG, Pa. – Colgate Golf delivered another red-hot 36-hole performance to secure a second-place finish for the second consecutive week in an 18-team field at the Bucknell Invitational at the Bucknell Golf Club. 

After Sunday's round was rained out, 108 golfers across 18 teams competed over 36 holes at the par-70, 6,253-yard Bucknell Golf Club. The Raiders carded team rounds of 270 (-10) and 276 (-4) for a 14-under-par total of 546, placing second behind tournament champion FDU.

Coach Kircher's Comments

"We fought hard today and put up another great number, but hats off to FDU—they played incredible golf. It was awesome to see Alex Hill post back-to-back rounds in the 60s and Jonathan Brubaker break into the 60s for the first time in his college career. Our guys are driving the ball extremely straight and putting themselves in position to score. Overall, it was an outstanding finish at Bucknell, and we're excited to build on this momentum as we head to Saucon Valley. Go, 'gate!"

Individual Highlights
  • Alex Hill (T-2nd | 66-67=133, -7): Hill led the way for the Raiders with a runner-up performance, firing sub-70 rounds of 66 (-4) and 67 (-3) to finish at 7-under-par.
  • Ronav Benak (T-8th | 67-70=137, -3): Benak recorded another top-10 result, opening with a 3-under 67 before carding an even-par 70 to finish 3-under for the tournament.
  • Leo Li (12th | 67-71=138, -2): Li provided key under-par scoring for the lineup, pairing an opening 67 with a 71 to secure 12th place overall at 2-under-par.
  • Jonathan Brubaker (T-13th | 70-69=139, -1): Brubaker turned in back-to-back strong rounds, closing with a 1-under 69 to claim a top-15 finish at 1-under-par.
  • Joshua McGown (T-35th  | 72-70=142, +2): McGown improved by two strokes in his second round to post an even-par 70, finishing tied for 35th.
  • Chad Ruggiero [IND] (T-67th | 70-76=146, +6): Competing as an individual, Ruggiero opened with an even-par 70 before carding a 76 to finish 6-over
