SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Colgate came into Syracuse's Tennity Ice Pavilion looking for a repeat of Friday night's dominant win over the Orange. The Raiders would leave with another convincing win, 5-1 this time, and two first career goals.
Â
Colgate dominated much of the first period but with no score to show for it. Coralie Larose turned the tide in favor of the Raiders during a power play late in the first, and they never looked back. Larose converted an opportunity in front of the net and found the top left corner to give Colgate its first lead.Â
Â
A dominant second period featured four Raider goals. The first came from team goals leader
Noemi Neubauerova only two minutes in, followed by
Malia Schneider six minutes later.
Allyson Simpson netted the first of her career shortly after the following face-off. The freshman fired off a quick wrister that got past Syracuse goalie Allison Small.
Â
Career firsts became a theme for the Raiders when
Kaitlyn O'Donohoe converted on the power play after a scramble in front of the crease to give Colgate a decisive 5-1 lead.Â
Â
Senior goalie
Liz Auby had yet another impressive game. She recorded 22 saves, including nine in the third period to close it out.Â
Bottom Line

Head Coach
Greg Fargo
- "Liz was there for us when she was called upon once again. We did a good job of letting her see pucks and she controlled the play really well."Â
- "What's exciting about the offense is that it can come from anywhere in our lineup. This weekend was another example of that. Both nights this weekend we had five different goal scorers. That's a good sign of our team depth."
- "Our first period really set the tone for the game. It was as strong as we've been in any period this year, all four lines having an impact. By no means are we a finished product but we made progress this weekend."
