Harrison Extends Goal Streak to Four Games vs. Army West Point

Colgate Falls to Army West Point, 4-1, Despite Season-High 49 Shots on Goal

HANOVER, N.H. – Tim Harrison (Duxbury, Massachusetts) continued his hot scoring Saturday evening as he scored a goal for the fourth consecutive game in the Colgate men's ice hockey team's 4-1 loss to the Army West Point Black Knights in the Consolation Game of the Ledyard Classic at Thompson Arena.

As a team, Colgate posted a season-high 49 shots and a single-period high 20 shots in the second period. It was the most shots the Raiders' have had in a game since recording 52 shots on goal at against Robert Morris in a 6-1 in to claim the Three Rivers Classic Championship on Dec. 30, 2014.

Harrison gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead 2:28 into the second period with the first goal of the game. Brett Corkey (Calgary, Alberta) chased down a clear by the Black Knights and circled around the Raiders' goal with the puck. He hit Harrison with a pass in the neutral zone where Harrison took the puck with speed into the offensive zone. Harrison's initial backhand was saved by Black Knight goaltender Parker Gahagen but Harrison chased down his own rebound.

Corkey's assist was his third consecutive game with a point. He has six assists and 10 points on the season while Harrison's goal was his seventh of the season and 11th point.

Following Harrison's goal, Army West Point scored the next four goals, including three in the second period. The Black Knights answered Harrison's goal just 25 seconds later on Trevor Fidler's third of the season. Michael Wilson fed Fidler the puck with a pass from the corner to tie the game, 1-1.

Zach Evancho scored the go-ahead goal with 11:13 left in the second period for his eighth of the season after he chased down the rebound on a Tyler Pham shot from the top of the left faceoff circle.

The Black Knights added a third goal with just 14 seconds left in the second period and their second straight power-play goal. Brendan Soucie picked up his seventh of the season with the second period tally. Dominic Franco scored an empty-net goal with 1:12 left in the third period to make it 4-1.
