The Raiders responded with two back-to-back goals of their own to reclaim the lead at 4-2. Jessica Hoyle tried to rally for the Bears sliding one past Rando with three minutes left to play, making the score 4-3 still in favor of Colgate. In the final minutes however they were unable to grab the tying goal. Katie Jamieson pushed aside 23 shots in the loss.
Following a scoreless first period, Kueber netted one past Jamieson 4:44 into the middle frame, giving the Raiders the lead.
Megan Wickens cleared the puck away from the Colgate net finding Drubel, who was at center ice. Drubel slid the puck over to Kueber, after they found themselves on a two-on-one. Kueber took a hard wrist shot into the top corner grabbing her fifth goal of the season.
The Raiders held their own for the remainder of the second period, not conceding the equalizing goal. Rando anchored the defense making eight of her 17 saves throughout the period.
During the final stanza, both teams scored three goals in a little over 13 minutes. Brown tied the game at one apiece after Micholson scored her second goal of the season just 3:35 into the period. Her teammates found her at the point where she fired a hard shot that deflected off a Colgate player and into the back of the net.
Less than six minutes later the Bears took over the lead after freshman Masucci's shot sailed in past Rando. The goal was her third of the year and gave Brown a 2-1 lead.
Colgate immediately responded netting three goals over the next five minutes.
Jocelyn Simpson started the Raiders comeback by stealing the puck from Alena Polenska behind the Brown net. She wrapped around the crease and sent a pass over to Phillips, who placed it home on the backside.
A Brown penalty gave the Raiders a power play opportunity at the 11:54 mark. Utilizing their extra man, Wickens sent the puck over the
Nicole Gass from the blue line. Gass sent the puck into Drubel who quickly fired a one-time shot into the top corner of the net. The goal put the Raiders back on top of the Bears by one goal, 3-2.
The Raiders extended their lead to 4-2, a couple minutes later. After Kueber was stopped on a breakaway shot, Colgate pressured the Bears defense. Gass stripped the puck from a Brown player and sent it over to
Taylor Craig. The sophomore saw Walsh open in front of the net and played her the puck. Walsh knocked one in five-hole to create a two-goal deficit between the teams.
Colgate was called for a tripping penalty, giving Brown an opportunity to pull to within one. The Bears pulled the goalie, allowing them to skate six on four. They scored 18 seconds later after Hoyle one-timed a slap shot into the corner of the goal.
Despite the late goal by the Bears with less than three minutes to play, the Raiders were able to push aside any other attack Brown had and secured a 4-3 victory.
