MADISON, Wisc. (11/16/11) - The Colgate men's basketball team fell to No. 13/14 Wisconsin 68-41 Wednesday night at the Kohl Center. The Raiders were led by
John Brandenburg who scored a career-high 11 points, while grabbing a team-high six rebounds.

Matt McMullen each had one, as the Raiders recorded six blocks in the game. Pascale was also second on the team with five rebounds.
Wisconsin (2-0) opened the game with a 21-8 run and never looked back as it took a 42-20 lead into the locker room. The Badgers were led by Ben Brust who drained four three-pointers and scored 13 points in the first 20 minutes of action. The Raiders were led by Rolls who made back-to-back of three-pointers to make score 26-14 with 9:56 remaining, while Venezia and Gyawu each scored four points.
Colgate (1-1) opened the second half with a 6-2 run, as Brandenburg made back-to-back baskets including a tip-in with 15:00 remaining to make the score 44-26. The Raiders defense held Wisconsin scoreless for six minutes, but couldn't take advantage as they went cold for the next four minutes before Moore made a pair of free throws to make the score 48-28 with 10:35 remaining. The Badgers then went on an 11-2 run to build its largest lead of the night 59-30 with 7:26 remaining. But Colgate wouldn't go down easy as Brandenburg scored five straight points to make the score 59-35, before both teams unloaded the benches in the closing minutes.
Wisconsin was led by Brust who scored a game-high 17 points, while Jordan Taylor and Jared Berggren pitched in nine apiece. The Badgers won the battle of the boards 43-29, but only shot 4-of-14 from the charity stripe, while Colgate didn't do much better only making 6-of-12.
The Raiders will conclude their three-game road trip as they face No. 5 Syracuse on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Carrier Dome. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. EST and can be seen live on Time Warner Cable Sports.
