Men’s Basketball Announces Incoming Class

Three Raiders to join the program in 2026-27

HAMILTON – Colgate University Head Men's Basketball Coach Matt Langel has announced three additions to the Raiders' roster for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

The incoming class – comprising two first-years and a sophomore transfer – adds versatile guard depth from three different states. The three newcomers join an experienced group of 11 returners who guided Colgate to an 18-15 record and a ninth consecutive trip to the Patriot League semifinals last year.

"We are very much looking forward to this group arriving on campus," Langel said. "They have a diverse set of experiences as players and as people, and unique talents and character that make them individuals we believe will add significant value to our campus and our basketball program."

Before Colgate
A four-year varsity letterwinner under head coach Andrew Gale…transferred to New Hampton after competing for Seton Hall Prep during freshman and sophomore seasons…appointed team captain for the 2025-26 senior year...a decorated postseason performer who helped lead the Huskies to back-to-back NEPSAC Finalist appearances...individual accolades include being named a two-time NEPSAC Honorable Mention...recognized as a Lakes Region All-Star for his impact in one of the country's most competitive prep leagues...recipient of the Coaches Award, highlighting his leadership and commitment to the program competed at the highest level of prep basketball in the NEPSAC AAA, consistently facing elite national competition.

Personal: Born Jayden Philip Michael Harrington in Glen Ridge, Mass.
Family: Son of Adam and Kearstin…has two brothers and one sister. 

Jayden on Choosing Colgate: "When I stepped foot on campus for my visit, it felt like home and the staff and everyone was so welcoming to my family."

Coach Langel on Jayden: "Jayden has grown up around the game and already understands and has taken advantage of how the game can expose you to incredible opportunities. On the court, he has a well developed skill set and plays with a competitive edge. Although he has achieved lots individually, one of the things we love about Jayden is how terrific of a teammate he is and that he is always looking to make the play that is best for the team."

Before Colgate
One of the most decorated careers in Berks Catholic history…served as team captain for three consecutive seasons (sophomore-senior)...capped a legendary career as the 2026 PIAA 4A State Player of the Year…two--time BCIAA League Player of the Year (2025, 2026) and a perennial All-League First Team selection...led the Saints to a BCIAA County Championship in 2026 and three District 3 Class 4A titles (2023, 2025, 2026)...averaged 22.3 points per game as a senior and maintains a career average of 16.8 points per game...holds a single-game high of 40 points and finished his career as the second-leading scorer in program history...honored by teammates and coaches as both the Team MVP and Most Valuable Defensive Player...member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born Kingston Mckoy in Reading, Pa.
Family: Son of Gary and Clair…has three brothers and one sister.

Despite his countless accolades and individual accomplishments, Kingston has earned the reputation from those who know him to work tirelessly toward his goals on the court and off, while lifting others up every step of the way."

A decorated four-year varsity standout for the Eagles…garnered All-Region First Team, All-District, and All-Defense honors playing for Edinson High School…capped off an elite career with a dominant senior campaign, averaging 20.9 points and 6.0 assists per game…proved to be a defensive force on the perimeter with 3.5 steals per contest...maintained a versatile stat line throughout his tenure at Edison, contributing 4.5 rebounds per game while serving as the primary playmaker…finished as a four-year letterwinner and one of the most productive guards in the VHSL.

Personal: Born Isaiah Skinn in Alexandria, Va.
Family: Son of Tony and Weyni…has one brother and one sister. 

Isaiah on Choosing Colgate: "I really respect the staff and winning culture here at Colgate. It's s a great place to pursue my athletic goals and also get a high-level education."

Coach Langel on Isaiah: "Growing up the son of a coach, Isaiah understands and values winning and all that goes into that process. Last year, he had the extraordinary opportunity to play for his dad at George Mason University, learning lots and experiencing a high level of basketball on a daily basis.  In coming to Colgate, Isaiah has made a decision to spread his wings and pursue new opportunities. We are excited to partner with him to help him maximize all he can be as he pursues his own potential on this new journey."
