Barton was a four-year member of the varsity program at
Downingtown East High School…helped his team reach the state quarterfinals in 2023 for the first time since 2007…was also a member of the squad that won back-to-back
Chesmont League Championships and reached the district finals in 2022…served as team captain during his senior season…was a member of the National Honor Society
Stats: Scoped up 152 ground balls during his career and logged 111 caused turnovers while also tallying 10 points…as a senior he picked up 63 ground balls, caused 47 turnovers, and recorded five points.
Honors: Was a two-time all-state, first team all-area, and first team all-league selection...earned the team’s defensive player of the year award in 2022 and was named MVP in 2023…was also honored with the Downingtown East Male Athlete Coaches Award in 2023.
