At Colgate

Colin Munro joined the Colgate men's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in August 2023.

In his first season with Colgate (2024), Munro helped guide Colgate to an 8-7 record, reaching the Patriot League quarterfinals. The Raiders picked up two wins over top-10 nationally ranked opponents. Colgate earned four All-Patriot League selections, three All-American honorable mention selections, and the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year.

Before Colgate

Munro arrived in Hamilton after serving as a volunteer assistant at Providence during the 2023 season. During his time with the Friars, Munro ran the box and helped coach the team’s offense.

Before his time at Providence, Munro had a stellar playing career at Georgetown. He played every game of his three years with the Hoyas and helped the team win back-to-back Big East championships in 2021 and 2022. Munro was a two-time Big East All-Academic Team selection. He transferred to Georgetown after attending the University of North Carolina for two years.

During college, Munro worked as an intern for JM3 Sports, a lacrosse start-up company. He hosted the Virtual Lacrosse Summit for JM3 Sports, a remote coaches clinic that included pro players, college players, and college coaches.

Munro also had a successful box lacrosse career, playing five summers of Junior A lacrosse in Canada with the Coquitlam Adanacs. He helped his team win the Minto Cup Championship in 2016 and 2018, and is the only American-born player to win it. Additionally, he was a three-time BCJALL champion, a 2022 WLA champion with the Langley Thunder, and a 2022 Mann Cup runner-up. Munro was drafted by the Buffalo Bandits in the second round of the 2021 NLL Draft.

He graduated from Georgetown in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in History.
