Jenna Jorgensen was named Colgate’s Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in August 2018, aiding in the public relations efforts for the university’s 25 varsity athletics programs. Jorgensen is the primary contact for the Raider men’s and women's hockey teams, volleyball, women's lacrosse and field hockey programs.

Jorgensen joins Colgate after spending two years in the Bowling Green State University Athletics Department (2016-18), where she served as the primary media contact for the hockey, volleyball, tennis, women’s soccer and men’s and women’s golf programs. In her debut year with the Falcons, the hockey program made its first appearance in a conference championship since 1988 when it faced Michigan Tech for the WCHA Championship, while the women’s soccer program saw its most wins in a season since 2008. In the 2017 campaign, Jorgensen was also the volleyball SID as the Bowling Green program earned its first Mid-American Conference regular season title since 1992. The Falcons went 13-3 in conference play and competed in postseason play in the NIVC. Some of Jorgensen’s favorite projects while at Bowling Green included the promotion of Senior CLASS Award finalist Mitch McLain’s community involvement and the successes of All-American Alec Rauhauser.

Jorgensen joined the Bowling Green athletic department after serving as a graduate assistant of media relations for two years at Ball State (2014-16). While with the Cardinals, she was the primary contact for the field hockey, men’s and women’s swimming and diving and men’s volleyball programs.

During her stay in Indiana, Jorgensen spent a three-month stint as a marketing intern and five months as a media relations intern with the Indy Fuel of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), working in community engagement and social media (2015-16). Jorgensen also spent six months as a Media Coordination and Statistics Intern with the NCAA in Indianapolis, and participated in the media relations efforts at the 2016 Women’s Final Four and Women’s College World Series.

After growing up in the State of Hockey, Jorgensen joined the stats crew for both the men’s and women’s hockey programs at her alma mater, the University of North Dakota (2010-14). In addition to taking statistics, she was a media relations intern for two years within the UND Athletic Department (2012-14). It was with the North Dakota hockey program that Jorgensen began her annual trip to the Frozen Four, having now been to six tournaments across the country (St. Paul-2011, Philadelphia-2014, Boston-2015, Tampa-2016, St. Paul-2018, Buffalo-2019). Jorgensen also worked with multimedia in a television internship with UND’s Studio One (2013-14) and held various jobs throughout Grand Forks while completing her education.

A native of Blaine, Minnesota, Jorgensen received her bachelor’s degree in communications and visual arts from UND in May 2014. She went on to earn a master’s degree in sports administration from Ball State in May 2016.
