Luke Vogeler have been named Patriot League Defensive Player and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively, following their standout performances Saturday at Central Michigan.
Price anchored a resilient Raider defense that blanked the Chippewas in the first half, limited Central Michigan to just 76 total passing yards, forced three turnovers, and carried a 10-6 lead into the fourth quarter. The senior linebacker racked up a game-high 13 tackles, including two solo stops and a half-sack.
Through three games, Price has led a defense that has allowed 14 points or fewer in every contest this season. Colgate currently ranks No. 1 in the Patriot League in scoring defense (12.33 points per game allowed), total defense (265.0 yards allowed per game), and fewest touchdowns allowed (4).
Vogeler earned Special Teams honors after drilling a 48-yard field goal through the uprights late in the second quarter, sending the Raiders into the locker room with a 10-0 halftime advantage. The 48-yard boot was Vogeler's longest make since hitting a 50-yarder in the 2024 regular-season finale against Bucknell. With the conversion, the senior improved to 7-for-11 in his career on field goals from 40-49 yards.
Colgate has now claimed at least one weekly award in each of the first three weeks of the season, bringing the team's total to four honorees. Price and Vogeler join standouts Danny Shaban and Matt Fogler, who earned back-to-back Offensive Player of the Week accolades.
