MANHATTAN, N.Y. – The Philadelphia Waterdogs signed undrafted rookie Patty Eldredge ahead of the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League season. A recent member of the Class of 2026, Eldredge now embarks on the next chapter of his lacrosse career at the professional level.
"The total process played out over a couple of days," said Eldredge. "When I got the final message that I was officially claimed, I was ecstatic. It was an especially awesome moment because I was surrounded by friends and teammates."
Eldredge is one of six rookies on the 31-man roster and one of five short-stick defensive midfielders.
The SSDM enjoyed a successful career at Colgate. He appeared in 56 games for the Raiders and capped his collegiate career with All-Patriot League Second Team honors. Over four seasons, Eldredge scored 15 goals, added three assists and totaled 18 points. He also caused 30 turnovers, collected 78 ground balls and placed 29 shots on goal.
"Colgate has been essential in helping me prepare for this challenge," said Eldredge. "Coach Karweck consistently builds one of the best schedules in the country, giving us the opportunity to play against some highly talented teams. With that, my teammates and coaches have always challenged me to be the best version of myself in every drill, film session, and game. I believe that our team's commitment to grit, growth, and gratitude, has prepared me well for all my future endeavors."
The Waterdogs are 1-1 this season after defeating the Whipsnakes in their opener before falling to the Cannons in their most recent matchup. Philadelphia is set to face the Chaos on Saturday at 8 p.m. in Baltimore, where Eldredge could make his professional debut.
