BETHELEHM, Pa. — For the fourth straight season, Colgate has had a member of its program earn the honor. This year,
Lauren Widdowson adds Academic All-Patriot League Field Hockey Team recognition to her career accolades.
To qualify for Academic All-Patriot League awards, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average as an undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.
In the classroom, the international relations major boasts a 3.71 GPA. On the field, Widdowson started 15 matches, scoring two goals – including the game-winner over Mercyhurst. The forward led the team with five assists, including a career-best two in a 5–3 win over Lock Haven.
Priding on accuracy, Widdowson registered nine shots and placed seven on target for a .778 shot-on-goal percentage.
