Raiders Set ECAC Program Record

Eight Different Raiders Scored as Colgate Power Past Union

HAMILTON – Colgate women's ice hockey scored a season-high 10 goals against the Union Dutchwomen, securing a two-win weekend in the Class of 1965 Arena.

Colgate's 10-0 win over ECAC Hockey conference opponent Union etched itself into the record books with the most goals scored in ECAC Hockey program history, breaking the previous record of nine.

Colgate found the back of the net early, as Kristýna Kaltounková netted her 13th goal of the season just five minutes into the first period. Just under a minute later, Kaityln O'Donohoe found the back of the net to give the Raiders an early 2-0 lead.

Just past the halfway point of the first period, Katie Chan scored her second goal of the weekend, as she capitalized off a rebound from Neena Brick's shot.

Elyssa Biederman continued the scoring barrage for Colgate with a goal between the legs, as she buried one past Union's goalie for her seventh goal of the season. Danielle Serdachny and Kas Betinol added two quick goals just 90 seconds apart, bringing the Raiders' lead to 6-0.

Union looked to change the pace of play through a goalie change midway through the second. Colgate's scoring continued as Neena Brick found the back of the net off an assist from Jenna Duarte and Katie Chan to conclude the period 7-0. Duarte went on to secure a career-high three assists.

Halfway through the third-period captain Serdachny scored her second goal of the game and 15th of the season off an assist from linemate O'Donohoe and defenseman Sydney Brad.

Quick goals from Sara Stewart and O'Donohoe sealed the 10-0 win as Colgate moved to 17-2-1.

Hannah Murphy recorded 20 saves en route to securing her ninth win and fourth shutout of the season. Sophomore netminder Averill McCorkle saw action in the final 10 minutes of play, recording two saves in her first career game.
