HAMILTON - Coming off a hard-fought battle at Cornell on Friday night, Colgate took the ice at Class of 1965 Arena with revenge on its mind. Cornell goalie Lindsay Browning and the Big Red wouldn't accommodate.
Cornell opened the game with a shorthanded goal in the opening three minutes. From that point on, it was all Kristin O'Neill.Â
The senior recorded a hat trick to put her team up 4-0 by the start of the third period. Finley Frechette tacked on a final goal in the last two minutes to provide the decisive 5-0 advantage.Â
Colgate was once again perfect on the penalty kill, combining for 11-11 over the weekend. Unsurprisingly, a series consisting of two of the nation's best penalty kill units yielded no power play goals.Â
Liz Auby recorded 18 saves after her season-high Friday afternoon. Lindsay Browning tallied 14 saves in the shutout.Â
Cornell improved to 18-1-2 overall and stayed undefeated in league play. Colgate fell to 13-11-4 and is clinging to a winning ECAC record at 7-6-1.

Head Coach Greg Fargo looking ahead to next weekend
- "It's a big weekend ahead and we can learn a lot from this one. Cornell's a great team and they made it hard for us. We need to learn from this weekend and continue to take strides to improve our game. They were pretty buttoned up and that's an experienced team over there. If we want another shot at playing them, we need to learn from this weekend and continue to take strides to get better. Our PK was tremendous all weekend and was a big point of emphasis this week. We want the same kind of urgency when we're on the power play. Special teams will be just as important next weekend as it was this weekend."
