WEST POINT, N.Y. – Ben Sharf (Williamsville, New York) scored his second goal in as many weekends Saturday afternoon but the No. 17 Colgate men's ice hockey team fell to the Army West Point Black Knights, 3-1, at Tate Rink.

Trevor Cosgrove (Exeter, New Hampshire) also nabbed an assist.
The Black Knights claimed a 1-0 lead with just 1:34 to go in the first period as Brendan McGuire tallied his second goal of the season off a hesitation before rifling the puck past Point.
Army West Point grabbed a pair of goals within 4:08 in the second period to take a 3-0 lead over Colgate. Alex Wilkinson scored a power-play goal with 8:23 to go in the second period on a blast from the left wing before Mason Krueger tipped a Wilkinson shot past goaltender

Sharf cut the Black Knights' lead to two just 3:26 into the third period as the Raiders' tried to mount a comeback over Army. Cosgrove blasted a shot from the right point that was tipped by Tschumi and saved by Army goaltender Jared Dempsey. Tschumi tapped the puck back towards the slot where Sharf slid the puck across the line for the goal.

"It's disappointing, we knew they were going to come out hard and they won most of the one-on-one battles tonight. They went hard to the net, that's how they scored their goals. We can't fault Colton, he couldn't see them half the time because they were bouncing off people in front of him.
"I was disappointed we didn't have an answer with our energy, we talk a lot about energy and I didn't think we had it tonight. It's back to the drawing board and we're going to have to play much better next Friday night."
