The Colgate men's basketball team will conclude its two-game road trip with a visit to Fordham on Tuesday, Nov. 29, before welcoming Eastern Michigan to Cotterell Court on Thursday, Dec. 1. The Eastern Michigan game will be streamed live on

LAST TIME OUT
Colgate dropped a tough 81-73 decision to Marist Saturday night at McCann Arena. The Raiders, who trailed most of the game, trimmed the Red Foxes' lead to 75-71 with 29 seconds remaining, before Marist made all of its free throws down the stretch.
Colgate (2-3) was led by senior forward
Sterling Melville who scored a career-high 20 points, while junior
Mitch Rolls pitched in 19 and sophomore
Pat Moore added 13.
Brandon James led the Raiders with nine rebounds, while
John Brandenburg grabbed four. James also scored five points in the loss.
SCOUTING FORDHAM (1-2)
The Fordham men's basketball squad had its shot(s) to beat Loyola University on Saturday but unfortunately for the Rams, not many of them went in. The Rams shot a season-low 27.7% from the field in falling 64-50 to the Ramblers in the Gentile Arena in the first ever meeting between the two Jesuit schools.
Chris Gaston led the Rams with his second straight double-double, netting 19 points and adding 10 rebounds, both game-highs, and he also blocked a career-best six shots. Gaston leads the Rams with 15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, while Bryan Smith is second on the team with 12.0 points per game. Gaston has also recorded nine blocked shots and seven steals over the first three games, both are team-highs.
THE SERIES WITH FORDHAM
This will be the 29th meeting between Colgate and Fordham with the Rams leading the all-time series 18-10. Colgate has won the three meetings including a 85-69 win in the Bronx during the 1994-95 season. Fordham's last win against the Raiders came during the 1993-94 season, 72-69 at Rose Hill Gym.
SCOUTING EASTERN MICHIGAN (4-2)
The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team could not overcome an early cold-shooting effort, falling to the Michigan State Spartans, 72-40, Sunday, Nov. 27, in the Convocation Center in an Auto-Owners Spartan Invitational game.
Eastern Michigan (4-2) was led by sophomore guard J.R. Sims with 14 points, while classmate Austin Harper added six. Junior forward Jamell Harris scored four points with seven rebounds and four blocked shots.
The Eagles finished the game shooting 28.6 percent, making 16-of-56 field goals while MSU was connecting on 28-of-58 for 48.3 percent. The Spartans dominated the boards, 49-29.
THE SERIES WITH EASTERN MICHIGAN
This will be the third meeting between Colgate and Eastern Michigan with the Eagles leading the all-time series 2-0. Eastern won the last meeting 66-65 at McCann Arena during the 2002-03 season at the Pepsi-Marist Classic in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. This will be the first home game in the series for either team.
BLOCK PARTY
Junior
John Brandenburg has recorded eight blocked shots over the first five games including a career-high four at Binghamton during the season opener. Brandenburg is averaging 1.6 blocks per game, which ranks third in the Patriot League.
VENEZIA KEEPS RAINING THREES
Colgate senior
Mike Venezia has made a total of 152 three-pointers in his career which ranks seventh all-time in the Colgate record books. Former teammate Kyle Roemer '10 holds the school record (267), while director of basketball operations
Mark Linebaugh '04 ranks fifth with 173.
UP NEXT
Colgate will stay instate when it visits Albany on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at SEFCU Arena, before returning home to face St. Francis (N.Y.) on Saturday, Dec. 10. The Albany game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
