HAMILTON, N.Y. (2/12/2010)  – Francois Brisebois (Montreal, Que.)
posted his second career two-goal game, but it wasn't enough as Colgate dropped a 6-3 decision to sixth-ranked Yale in an ECAC Hockey clash Friday evening at Starr Rink.

Down 2-0 in the first 11 minutes, the Raiders posted their third extra attacker goal of the campaign.  With a delayed penalty coming against Yale, Colgate pulled its goalie for a sixth skater. Keeping control of the puck for 25 seconds in their offensive zone, Robbie Bourdon (Ile Bizard, Que.) sent the puck out top to Nathan Sinz (Anchorage, Alaska).  The freshman found Brisebois, who beat netminder Billy Blasé blocker side with a slap shot for his 11th of the year at 15:59.

It appeared Colgate would go into intermission only trailing by one, however, after Alex Evin (Castlegar, B.C.) made the initial save, Broc Little collected the puck off a rebound and fired a wrist shot from just outside left circle with one second left to give the Bulldogs a 3-1 lead after the first twenty-minute period.

The Bulldogs increased the lead to 4-1 with another late period goal, this time with 57 seconds left in the second period by Sean Backman.

Down 5-1 early in the third, Colgate got on the board once again with its only power play goal of the contest.  David McIntyre (Pefferlaw, Ont.) took the initial shot on goal.  Off the rebound, Bourdon jumped on the puck and wristed a forehand from the right circle to beat Blasé glove side at 15:01 for his seventh of the campaign and fourth multi-point game of his career.  Thomas Larkin (Cocquio Trevisago, Italy) was also credited with an assist.

After Yale got its second goal from Backman on the power play at 16:24, Brisebois picked up the loose puck and fired a wrist shot that found the back of the net from the outside portion of the face-off circle.  The junior's only other multi-goal game of his career came earlier this season in an overtime victory over Princeton at Starr Rink in November.

Evin stopped 33 of 39 shots thrown on net for Colgate.  The sophomore saved 11 in the opening period and then added 16 stops in the final 20 minutes.  Blasé wound up with 23 saves in the win for Yale, which improved to 15-6-3 overall and 11-4-2 in league play.

Yale's power play posted three goals in seven tries, while Colgate went one of four with the man advantage.

The Raiders, who fell to 11-12-5 overall and 8-7-1 in league play, return to action Saturday evening as it hosts Brown.  Opening face-off is set for 7 p.m. at Starr Rink.
