The Colgate women's hockey team faces both Yale and Brown on the road this weekend. The Raiders will first take on the Bulldogs on Friday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. The squad will then meet with the Bears on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 4 p.m. The series will wrap-up Colgate's travel schedule this season.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Yale – The Bulldogs will look to snap a two-game skid this weekend after dropping contests to both Dartmouth and Harvard last weekend. Yale fell at Darmouth, 6-3, before dropping a 4-3 contest at Harvard. The previous weekend, the Bulldogs had swept Brown in a home-and-away series. The squad is currently 7-10-1 in the league and with 15 points is tied for eighth place in the ECAC, alongside Dartmouth. Bray Ketchum currently leads the offense with 22 points off of 12 goals and 10 assists. Aleca Hughes and Alyssa Zupon follow with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Hughes has tallied eight goals and eight assists while Zupon has picked up five goals and 10 assists. Jackee Snikeris has been the primary goaltender accruing a record of 4-15 to go with a .922 save percentage and 2.61 goals against average. Yale's Hilary Witt is in her seventh season as the head coach.
Brown – The Bears are still looking to pick up their first win of the season, carrying an overall record of 2-18-4 and a 0-15-3 mark in the ECAC. Brown tied Quinnipiac, Rensselaer and Union during the first half of the season, but have yet to earn a league victory. The Bears' last win came against Vermont, 2-0, back on Jan. 3. Four players have scored eight points for the squad this year. Alena Polenska has four goals and four assists while Jenna Dancewicz, Laurie Jolin and Erica Kromm have each tallied three goals and five assists. Sasha Van Muyen leads the team in goals with five, while Paige Pyett has a team-high six assists. Katie Jamieson is 2-17-4 in goal with a .915 save percentage and 3.04 goals against average. Head coach Digit Murphy is in her 20th season as head coach.
LAST TIME OUT
Colgate is currently in ninth place in the ECAC standings with 14 points, just one point back from the eighth place teams Yale and Dartmouth, which have 15 points. The Raiders split last weekend's games earning a 4-3 win against Princeton before falling to Quinnipiac, 2-1. The team currently holds a 9-17-4 overall record and a 5-9-4 mark in the league. Freshman Jenna Klynstra (Edmonton, Alta.) had two goals including the lone goal against Quinnipiac. Senior Katie Stewart (Exeter, Ont.) had one goal and three assists on the weekend while classmates Evan Minnick (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Beth Rotenberg (Toronto, Ont.) added a goal apiece.
LAST TIME AGAINST…
Yale – Colgate currently holds a 9-5-3 lead in the all-time series, despite dropping their last meeting against the Bulldogs back on Dec. 5. The Raiders outshot Yale, 43-17, but Jackee Snikeris was solid in goal stopping all 43 shots to help give the Bulldogs a 3-0 win. Colgate's Lisa Plenderleith (Ajax, Ont.) had 14 saves for the Raiders. Yale's Bray Ketchum had two goals with Samantha MacLean adding one.
Brown– The Bears hold a slight advantage in the all-time series, 9-7-1, but the Raiders have won five of the last seven meetings including a 4-2 victory earlier this season on Dec. 4. Senior Katie Stewart (Exeter, Ont.) and freshman Brittany Phillips (Lauder, Man.) led the Raiders with a goal and an assist apiece. Junior Hannah Milan (Great Barrington, Mass.) and rookie Jordan Brickner (Lake Forest, Ill.) scored Colgate's remaining two goals while Lisa Plenderleith earned the win in goal with 25 saves. Jenna Dancewicz put in both of Brown's goals and goaltender Katie Jamieson made 29 stops.
LEADING THE WAY
Katie Stewart leads the Raiders, and is tied for second among scoring leaders in the ECAC, with 33 points off of 15 assists and a league-high 18 goals. Freshman

senior Evan Minnick adds 18 points from eight goals and 10 assists. Junior
Jessi Waters (Menlo Park, Calif.) has 14 assists to go along with two goals, while six other players have scored in the double-digits for Colgate.Goaltenders
Lisa Plenderleith and
Kimberly Sass have split time between the posts this season. Plenderleith holds 7-9-2 record to go with a .886 save percentage and 3.39 goals against average. Sass is 2-8-2 on the season with a .864 save percentage and 4.24 goals against average.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Colgate freshman Brittany Phillips was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week as chosen by the league coaches, it was announced Monday, Jan. 4. Phillips had four points in a 5-4 overtime victory at No. 10 Syracuse on Jan. 2, posting two goals and two assists. Her first goal sparked the Raiders scoring after trailing 3-0 in the first period. Phillips' second goal was the game-winner, made with 10 seconds left on the overtime clock. She also had a hand in the last two regulation goals, earning an assist on the game-tying goal with 15 seconds left in the match. This is the first weekly award for Phillips and the first time a Colgate player has won a weekly award so far this season.
PREASONS PICKS
The Raiders were selected to finish eighth in the ECAC Hockey Preseason Poll as chosen by conference coaches. The Raiders received a total of 52 votes, while top-choice St. Lawrence grabbed the No. 1 spot with 107 votes including three first place votes.
COACH WILEY
Head coach Scott Wiley is in his eighth season at the helm of the Raiders. Wiley led last year's team to a school record 19 wins, including an eight-game unbeaten streak in January. The 2003-04 ECAC Coach of the Year has high hopes for this year's team and will look to make this the eighth straight ECAC playoff appearance.

The Raiders will finish regular season play at Starr Rink next weekend, Feb. 19th and 20th. On Friday, Feb. 19, Colgate hosts Union at 7 p.m. Then on Saturday, Feb. 20, the Raiders will take on Rensselaer at 4 p.m.
