Football Concludes Regular Season Saturday at Fordham

Nate Eachus leads the FCS with 166.7 yards per game.

The Colgate Raiders (6-4, 3-2) will conclude their regular season on Saturday, Nov. 20 when they travel to Fordham (5-5). Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at Jack Coffey Field.

THE SERIES
This will be the 22nd meeting between Colgate and Fordham, with the Raiders leading the all-time series 17-4. Colgate has won six of the last seven meetings including a 20-12 win last season in Hamilton.

THE COACHES
Colgate head coach Dick Biddle, who has the most wins in school history, is in his 15th season at the helm of the Raiders. His overall record is 119-55, and is 12-2 against Fordham.

Fordham head coach Tom Masella is in his fifth season with the Rams and has compiled an overall mark of 26-29 and is 1-3 against Colgate.

FORDHAM NOTEBOOK
The Rams (5-5) are riding a three game winning streak, including a 33-21 topping of Bucknell two weeks ago. Fordham is led on offense by quarterback Blake Wayne, running back Darryl Whiting and wide receiver Jason Caldwell. Wayne has thrown for 1,614 yards and six touchdowns, while rushing for 458 yards and four scores. Whiting leads the team in rushing with 718 yards and seven touchdowns, while Caldwell has caught 69 passes for 893 yards and three touchdowns.

On defense Fordham is led by Isa Abdul-Quddus and Michael Martin. Abdul-Quddus leads the team with 70 tackles, while Martin is second with 65. Brendan Melanophy leads the team with two interceptions, while Nick Womack leads with 3.5 sacks.

BELLAMY NAMED PL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Freshman Nat Bellamy was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week following his performance against Bucknell. Bellamy wins the Rookie of the Week award for the first time, and is Colgate's first recipient of the award this season.

Bellamy returned an interception 51 yards for a touchdown to give Colgate a 13-0 lead in an eventual 31-7 win at Bucknell on Saturday. It was his first career interception, and he also recorded three tackles in the game. He became the first Raider with an interception return for more than 50 yards since 1998.

EACHUS NAMED TO WALTER PAYTON AWARD WATCH LIST
Junior running back Nate Eachus has joined the race for the 2010 Walter Payton Award, sponsored by Fathead.com. The Payton Award is in its 24th season and is the Football Championship Subdivision's top individual honor.

Eachus leads the nation with 166.7 yards per game this year. Eachus has 1,667 yards and 19 touchdowns for the season. He has also caught 14 passes for 132 yards which ranks third on the team. Eachus is the first Raider to rush for more than 1,600 yards in a season since Jordan Scott ran for 1,875 in 2007. His 1,667 yards this season ranks fifth all-time among the most yards in a single season.

CAREER RUSHING CHART
Tailback Nate Eachus, a two-time All-Patriot First Team selection, is climbing up the Colgate record books where he is fourth in rushing touchdowns (45) and fifth in rushing yards (3,518). He is just the fifth running back in Colgate history to amass more then 3,000 yards rushing.

SULLIVAN BREAKS PATRIOT LEAGUE RUSHING RECORD
Senior quarterback Greg Sullivan recently broke the Patriot League record for most rushing yards gained by a quarterback in a career with 2,277. Sullivan is second on the team and third in the Patriot League in rushing this season averaging 65.7 yards per game. Sullivan is also the all-time rushing quarterback in school history.

DIMASSA IS A TACKLING MACHINE
Senior linebacker Chris DiMassa is currently fourth in the Patriot League in tackles with a total of 86, which equals 8.8 per game. The last Raider to lead the league in tackling was Mike Gallihugh with 123 in 2007.

SACK KINGS
Senior defensive ends Zach Smith and Lamont Sonds currently sit first and second in the Patriot League in sacks. Smith is first with 10.5 total sacks, while Sonds is second with 7.0, respectively. The only Raider to lead the league in sacks was Pat Nolan with 6.5 in 2007.

600 AND COUNTING
The Colgate football team became just the 15th program in FCS history to reach 600 wins after dismantling Cornell 44-3. The Raiders are also the ninth winningest program in the FCS over the last decade. Since 2000, Colgate has posted a recorded 88-39 and won four Patriot League titles.

• Colgate has won 69 of its last 90 Patriot League games.
• Colgate has won 30 of its last 45 games decided by nine points or less.
• Colgate has won 41 of its last 50 games at Andy Kerr Stadium.

THE BIDDLE ERA
Colgate head coach Dick Biddle is in his 15th season with the Raiders. Biddle has an overall mark of 119-55. He has achieved the best winning percentage (.691) of any Colgate coach with seven or more years at the helm of the Raiders.

Biddle is also the first Colgate coach to ever record nine straight seasons with seven or more victories. He has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year four times while guiding the Raiders to six Patriot League titles and six appearances in the FCS (formally I-AA) playoffs.

In 2003, Biddle was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I-AA National Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to a 15-1 record, and to the national championship game of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs.
