The Raiders will continue with their ECAC schedule this week when they take on Brown and Yale this weekend at Starr Rink. Colgate will first face the Bears on December 4at 7 p.m. followed by a meeting against the Bulldogs on December 5 at 4 p.m.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Brown – The Bears currently sport an overall record of 1-8-3 and a conference mark of 0-5-3. Brown's only win came against Providence, 5-1, back on Oct. 25. The Bears have skated to ties against ECAC foes Quinnipiac, 0-0, Union, 0-0 and Rensselaer, 1-1. This past weekend, Brown dropped two games, 5-4 and 3-2, to St. Cloud State of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Erica Kromm leads the Bears in points with two goals and three assists for five points, followed by Alena Polenska and Paige Pyett with four points apiece. Pyett leads the squad in assists with four while Polenska adds three goals and one assist. Katie Jamieson has started in 11 games for the Bears tallying a record of 1-7-3. Jamieson holds a .920 save percentage and 2.90 goals against average. Joy Joung is 0-1-0 between the posts with a .850 save percentage and 4.07 goals against average.
Yale – The Bulldogs enter Colgate with a 2-8-1 overall record and an ECAC mark of 1-7. Yale defeated Sacred Heart in a non-conference match-up this past Friday, 10-1, before falling to Connecticut, 6-1, on Saturday. The Bulldogs lone ECAC win came against Union, 2-1, on Nov. 14. Senior Caroline Murphy leads Yale in scoring with five goals and three assists for eight points followed by Bray Ketchum with six points off of four goals and two assists. Twelve more players have at least one point or more for the Bulldogs this season. Junior Jackee Snikeris and sophomore Genny Ladiges have split most of the time in net with Snikeris tallying a 0-8-0 record and Ladiges a mark of 0-3-0. Snikeris holds a .884 save percentage and 3.37 goals against average while Ladiges has a.886 save percentage and 2.77 goals against average.
LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders went 1-2 last week downing Syracuse 5-4 on Wednesday before dropping a pair of games to top-ranked Mercyhurst over the weekend. Senior
Katie Stewart (Exeter, Ont.) finished the week with three goals and three assists, tallying one goal and two assists against Syracuse.
Evan Minnick (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) tallied two goals and an assist during last week's play and
Jordan Brickner (Lake Forest, Ill.) picked up two goals. Junior goaltender
Lisa Plenderleith (Ajax, Ont.) finished 1-1, earning the win against Syracuse after making 20 saves. Plenderleith had 26 saves in the Saturday loss to Mercyhurst. Sophomore
Kimberly Sass (East Amherst, N.Y.) made 22 stops in the Raiders first loss against the Lakers.
LAST TIME AGAINST…
Brown – The Bears hold a slight advantage in the all-time series, 9-6-1, but the Raiders have won four of the last six meetings. Last season the two teams split the two-game series with Brown taking the first game, 4-3, while Colgate earned the shutout win, 5-0, in their second meeting. Current Raiders

Yale – Colgate currently holds a 9-4-3 lead in the all-time series, after winning both meetings last season. The Raiders defeated the Bulldogs 4-2 in their first meeting before earning a 4-0 shutout in their second game last season.

LEADING THE WAY

Kimberly Sass have split time between the posts this season. Plenderleith holds a 2-6-1 record along with a .874 save percentage and 3.58 goals against average. Sass is 1-5-2 on the season with a .857 save percentage and a 4.31 goals against average.
PREASONS PICKS
The Raiders were selected to finish eighth in the ECAC Hockey Preseason Poll as chosen by conference coaches. The Raiders received a total of 52 votes, while top-choice St. Lawrence grabbed the No. 1 spot with 107 votes including three first place votes.
COACH WILEY
Head coach Scott Wiley is in his eighth season at the helm of the Raiders. He currently holds a Colgate career record of 105-120-27. Wiley led last year's team to a school record 19 wins, including an eight-game unbeaten streak in January. The 2003-04 ECAC Coach of the Year has high hopes for this year's team and will look to make this eighth straight ECAC playoff appearance.
UP NEXT
This weekend's play will be the last pair of games for the Raiders in 2009. Colgate will be back on the ice on January 2, 2010 against Syracuse University at 4 p.m. in the Tennity Ice Pavilion in Syracuse, N.Y.
