HAMDEN, Conn. (11/20/09) -    Freshman Brittany Phillips (Lauder, Man.) netted her sixth goal of the season and the only Raiders goal of the game as Colgate finished tied, 1-1, against fellow ECAC opponent Quinnipiac on Friday evening.  The Raiders are now 2-8-3 overall and 1-3-3 in the ECAC, while the Bobcats are 6-4-3 overall and 4-1-2 in the conference.

The first two periods went by uneventfully, with both goals of the game coming in the third period.  Sophomore goaltender Kimberly Sass (East Amherst, N.Y.) made 23 saves in the draw. Quinnipiac's Victoria Vigilanti had 28 stops in goal.

The Bobcats were he first to score in the third period as Melissa Perry picked up her first goal of the season to give Quinnipiac the 1-0 advantage. Perry's goal came at 11:39 in the session and was unassisted.

The Raiders responded with just 2:30 left on the clock.  Phillips' initial shot was stopped but the rookie picked up the rebound and tucked the puck into the left corner.  Senior Beth Rotenberg (Toronto, Ont.) was credited with the assist as Colgate made it a tied match.  Neither team was able to put it between the posts in the overtime session as Sass finished the extra minutes with three saves.

Colgate will be back in action tomorrow when they take on No. 10 Princeton at Hobey Baker Rink. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
