HAMILTON, N.Y. (1/21/09) – The Colgate University women's ice hockey takes it's five game unbeaten streak in ECAC Hockey to Brown and Yale this weekend. The Raiders face-off with Brown on Friday, Jan. 23 followed with Yale on Saturday, Jan. 24. The opening face-off for Friday's game is at 7 p.m. followed with Saturday's game at 4 p.m.

Colgate sports a 12-9-2 overall record, 6-4-2 in ECAC Hockey after a weekend sweep of Rensselaer (3-2) and Union (3-1), extending its winning streak to four games. Leading the Raiders up front is senior forward
Sam Hunt (Calgary, Alta.) with 21 points. Hunt has 11 goals and 10 assists. Junior
Katie Stewart (Exeter, Ont.) has 17 points while senior
Elin Brown (Calgary, Alta.), and juniors
Marissa Dombovy (Webster, N.Y.) and
Beth Rotenberg (Toronto, Ont.) each have 16. Hunt leads the team in goals with 11 while Stewart and junior
Evan Minnick (Highland Ranch, Colo.) have nine. Senior
Kiira Dosdall (Fairfield, Conn.) leads in assists with 18. Dosdall headlines the defenders with a team-high 22 points off four goals and 18 assists while classmate
Clancy Todd (Thorold, Ont.) has 10 and freshman
Amanda Kirwan (Mississauga, Ont.) five. Colgate has rotated two goaltenders; sophomore
Lisa Plenderleith (Ajax, Ont.), and freshman
Kimberly Sass (East Amherst, N.Y.). Plenderleith is 3-5 with a 3.63 GAA and a .875 save percentage, while Sass is 8-3-2 with a 2.43 GAA with a .924 save percentage. Sass has also recorded an assist on the season.
Brown leads Colgate, 9-5-1, in the all-time series including a 4-3 win earlier this season. The Raiders have won three of the last five meetings and is 5-2-1 in the last eight games.
Brown is 3-14-1 overall and sports a 2-9 league mark. The Bears dropped two games last weekend to St. Lawrence (2-3) and Clarkson (1-2). Brown is led by Andrea Hunter with 10 points off four goals and six assists, while Paige Pyett and Maggie Suprey have seven points each. Senior Nicole Stock has played all 18 games in net for the Bears. She has a 3-14-1 record, with 3.45 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.
Colgate holds an 8-4-3 edge over Yale in the all-time series and is unbeaten in the last eight games, 6-0-2, including a 4-2 win earlier this season. Yale's last win over Colgate was in December 2004. Colgate has played eight overtime games with Yale, the most against any opponent. The Raiders have won three, dropped two, and tied three.
Yale is 7-11 overall, 3-8 in league play after losing last weekend to Clarkson (1-4) and St. Lawrence (0-4). The Bulldogs have a 4-4 record at home this season. Yale is led by senior Crysti Howser and sophomore Bray Ketchum. Howser has 19 points off 12 goals and seven helpers, while Ketchum has tallied seven goals and chipped in eight assists. Freshman Aleca Hughes has also chipped in 13 points off five goals and eight assists. Yale rotates two goaltenders; Sophomore Jackee Snickeris is 5-5 with a 2.13 GAA and .923 save percentage while freshman Genny Ladiges is 2-6 overall, with a .899 save percentage and a 2.73 GAA.
