Before Colgate

After four medal-winning performances as the head coach for Brooklyn Elite Volleyball, Olivia Lucia has been named the new assistant coach for Colgate Volleyball in June 2025.

Lucia served from 2024-25 as the head coach for Brooklyn Elite Volleyball, a premier youth volleyball club competing at the national level while developing athletes from beginner to elite levels. She won four medals in Brooklyn: GEVA Champion, GEVA Runner-Up, and two bronze bracket championships.

A 2025 graduate of Long Island University, Lucia played collegiately for the Sharks where she helped lead the team to a Northeast Conference championship in 2023. She compiled 52 kills and 41 blocks in 22 matches during the championship season, which saw LIU advance to the NCAA tournament.

Lucia spent her first two years of college as a two-sport athlete, competing in both indoor and beach volleyball at the University of Tennessee-Martin, from 2020-22.

Originally from Piqua, Ohio, Lucia graduated Cum Laude from Long Island University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
