Sport Administrator for Field Hockey and Women's Rowing
Meghan Kovac is the new Director of Student-Athlete Development for Colgate Athletics. She was promoted to
Associate Athletics Director for Leadership and Inclusion in July 2023.
Kovac began her role in September 2019 and is overseeing student-athlete development programming.
She arrived after earning her masters in Sports Leadership at Northeastern University, where she helped most recently in the office of Student-Athlete Development and Compliance. While at Northeastern, Kovac put on quality events for student-athletes dealing with such topics as networking and mental health.
Kovac also created compliance tips for Twitter Tuesday, served as a SAAC advisor and was a key cog in the planning for Northeastern's National Girls and Women in Sports Day, along with the end-of-the-year banquet.
Kovac graduated from in 2018 from Bucknell University, where she was a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member and senior-year captain. She completed her career as the all-time program record-holder for home runs, RBIs and doubles, and she's top 10 for batting average, hits and games played.
Three times Kovac earned All-Patriot League First Team honors, and once she was an All-ECAC First Team selection.
Kovac went on to become Bucknell's nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year, which honors graduating female college athletes who have distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.
She also won the Patriot League Outstanding Leadership and Character Award, Bucknell's John F. Zeller Award and was the university's Senior CLASS Award Nominee for softball.
Kovac is a native of Warren, New Jersey. She earned her Bucknell degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
