Before her stint at NJIT, Mitchell served as the assistant coach at St. Thomas Aquinas College for two seasons. In her two years at STAC, the Spartans secured the program’s first East Coast Conference Tournament title and an NCAA Division II East Region Tournament appearance. Mitchell helped develop the ECC Player of the Year and ECC Defensive Player of the Year while also helping the STAC defense rank second and fourth best in Division II in her two seasons.

While earning a Master of Science in Sports Business: Professional and Collegiate Operations from NYU, Mitchell began her coaching career as an assistant coach with the Violets from 2014-2016.
