Before Colgate

Wright joins the Raiders as an assistant coach after most recently serving as the Head Women's basketball Coach at Tompkins Cortland Community College. She began as an assistant coach in 2021 and, after two years, she was promoted to head coach prior to the 2023–24 season. 

Wright is a central N.Y. native who grew up in Ithaca, she brings a familiarity with the surrounding basketball community that will help us keep the best high academic local prospects here at home. While at Tompkins Cortland, Wright helped develop well-rounded student-athletes. Over the course of her four years at the college, Wright mentored one All-Region three time Player of the week, 2 All-Conference Players,  six NJCAA All-Academic athletes, three All-MSAC recipients, and was nominated for the Coach of the Year award in 2023–24.

Wright earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Bachelor of Business in Sport Management from Alliance University. She was a former Division II, two-sport athlete, competing on both the women's basketball and lacrosse teams. The Ithaca native was a four-year starter and two-year captain within both programs, earning CACC All-Academic honors three times in her career. Wright was also CACC Conference Defensive Player of the Week three times.
