Abbey Paduano was named as Colgate’s Director of Football Operations in May 2022.

In her role, she is responsible for planning and organizing all aspects of team operations, including but not limited to staff and team management, team travel logistics, recruiting, budget management, administrative responsibilities, and other logistical tasks. Abbey is also the assistant to the head coach where she manages calendars, travel plans, and other day-to-day operations tasks. Abbey also serves as the primary liaison for the program with alumni, player families, university and community partners. 

In the summer of 2024, Paduano was one of 40 women working in college sports invited to the NFL Women's Forum, a program that connects women in college football with NFL owners, head coaches, and club executives during a day-long networking event.

Paduano returns to Hamilton after previously serving as the Athletic & Events Marketing Coordinator for the university since Sept. 2021. In her role, she assisted with ticket and facility operations. She was the primary event manager for six athletic programs including men’s & women’s basketball and both ice hockey teams.
 
She was also the secondary manager at the 2022 Patriot League Men’s Basketball Tournament, ECAC Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey Championships, and NCAA Regional Tournament for Women’s Ice Hockey.
 
Prior to her experience at Colgate, Paduano spent time in Utica, N.Y., as a Facility Operations Intern at the Adirondack Bank Center. In this position, she prepared the venue for concerts, press conferences, and other entertainment events in addition to her gameday roles with Utica’s college hockey teams and the Utica Comets, where she interned in the summer of 2019.
 
Paduano was a member of the SUNY Cortland women’s ice hockey team from 2017-2020, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. She later went on to earn a master of science in legal studies in Human Resources from Albany Law School in May 2022.
