Bishara and McMahon combine for 13 points

HAMILTON - Ella Bishara and Aubrey McMahon combined for 13 points to help lead Colgate to a 20-16 win over Lehigh on senior day at Andy Kerr Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Colgate initiated the first quarter with strong control when Ella Bishara scored the first goal on a free-position shot. After a brief equalizer from Lehigh's Kacie Wines, Colgate regained momentum. Bishara added her second goal, also from a free position, followed by McMahon's successful shot. Sarah Marcovici extended the lead with a goal assisted by Gracie DeSimone, and Chase Dunn capitalized on a player-up opportunity with a score assisted by Katie Walsh.

Colgate closed the quarter with a commanding 5-2 lead.

The second quarter commenced with McMahon capitalizing on a player-up advantage with a goal assisted by Bishara. Despite a quick response from Kacie Wines, Colgate continued to apply pressure. Marcovici scored on a free-position shot, followed by McMahon adding another goal, extending the lead further.

As the quarter progressed, DeSimone and McMahon each found the net again, bolstering Colgate's advantage. Lehigh managed to keep the game competitive with goals by Karina Van der walt and Nina DeNicola, but Colgate's offensive efforts maintained its edge. In the closing minutes, Dunn scored with an assist from Marcovici, pushing Colgate's lead to 12-6. Lehigh added a late goal, concluding the quarter with Colgate ahead 12-7.

Colgate started the third quarter strong with McMahon scoring a player-up goal assisted by Bishara. Lehigh quickly responded, tying the quarter with two goals, including a free position shot by Molly Snow. Bishara regained momentum for Colgate with her second goal of the quarter.

Colgate's offense continued to press as Walsh found the back of the net, followed by a player-up goal from Olivia McDonald. Despite Lehigh's attempts to close the gap with late goals, Colgate maintained its lead. The quarter concluded with Colgate leading 17-13.

Colgate began the fourth quarter with a swift goal from Bishara at 14:16, extending its lead. Colgate's defensive efforts, highlighted by McMahon's caused turnover, set the tone early. Lucy Lederman added to the lead with another goal at 11:36, putting Colgate ahead 19-13.

Lehigh responded with two goals, narrowing the margin to 19–15, but Colgate maintained its positioning. Despite some turnovers, Colgate's defense remained resilient, with contributions from Isabel Alini and Meghan Holland.

DeSimone scored at 00:26, assisted by McDonald, which secured the victory. Colgate concluded the game with a 20-16 win, effectively sealing its performance in the final minutes.

GAME NOTES

Ella Bishara scored five goals and added two assists for a team-high seven points. Bishara has 20 points over the last three games.
Aubrey McMahon extended her goal streak to seven games and secured her eighth hat trick of the season.
Maddie Stevens made six saves between the pipes for the Raiders.
Josie Cavallo added 12 draw controls to bring her season total to 96.
Sophie Granse led the team defensively with three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
