Nine boats compete in races

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Colgate women's rowing program had nine boats compete at the Head of the Fish. The Women's Collegiate Frosh/Novice Eight A boat recorded the team's best finish in eights of the day, placing fifth.

Coach Lister's Comments

"We had 18 first-year and/or novice rowers representing Colgate for the first time in their careers. They all rowed with enthusiasm, determination and teamwork. All placed well in their respective boats (fifth and 15th place).

"We also added two doubles to this year's lineup as we build our sculling experience in the fall. We hope to keep growing here in future years. We had four rowers who truly stepped up and raced three times over the course of the day, placing well in their boat classes, including fourth- and seventh-place finishes in the collegiate 2x to start the early morning."
