Men’s Quad Earns Gold at Princeton Chase

Raiders launch five boats at last race of the season

PRINCETON, N.J. — Colgate men's rowing closed out their fall season at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J. on Sunday.

The men's eight started off racing for the Raiders, placing 21st out of 42 entries. The boat crossed the line with a time of 13:24.399, beating out B crews from Holy Cross, Columbia, Georgetown, La Salle, and Marist.

Colgate's men's quad, stroked by first-year Daniel Milligan, brought home gold against Oklahoma City as Princeton did not show. The crew's winning time of 14:54.857 was 13 seconds faster than Oklahoma City, who finished in 15:08.482.

The men's four finished 26th out of 31 other crews with a time of 16:10.541. 

Sophomores Mark Giacona and Will White represented the Raiders for a second time in the men's pair. The duo placed tenth with a time of 18:48.887.

Racing was closed out by first-year Hudson Miller in the men's single, who earned a time of 20:04.700. Miller was beat out by Pricneton's lightweight A entry, as well as Mercyhurst's entry, placing third out of the three entries who showed.
